Wittelte is a village in the municipality of Westerveld, in the Dutch province of Drenthe. The village is located west of Dwingeloo, between Oldendiever , Diever and Uffelte. It had 125 inhabitants in 2019. They are the gems of the most beautiful part of Drenthe .

Wittelte has a small core and a large outdoor area, and is therefore sometimes called a hamlet or hamlet. On the eastern side of the provincial N371 that runs through the western part of the village area, there is a campsite the Wiitelter Bridge .

A very wooded area with the Drents-Friesewold and nature park Dwingelderveld .

In and around Wittelte you will find peace, friendly (unknown) people who greet you, recreational opportunities, sporting events, cozy restaurants and fun family outings.

In the summer you will find a summer fair every day in the surrounding villages .
